Residents of the JASA Scheuer House of Coney Island Senior Center unveiled on Friday, June 20 a new mural of ceramic tiles, symbolizing the reconstruction of the community devastated by Hurricane Sandy.

The mural was created by JASA  (Jewish Association Serving the Aging) seniors who are also members of the NYC Department of Aging's SPARC program  (Seniors Partnering with Artists Citywide), placing artists-in-residence at senior centers across the five boroughs.
