Thugs who beat and robbed 60-year-old in Brighton still at large

At about 1 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 14, two males beat and robbed the man as he was walking up to the platform of the Ocean Parkway B, Q train station in Brighton Beach.

Police said the men  grabbed his legs from behind, throwing him on the steps and causing him to slam his head on the stairs. They then kicked and punched him, took his cell phone, and fled westbound on Brighton Beach Avenue.

The victim was taken to Coney Island hospital and treated for minor injuries.

Police are looking for:

Suspect #1: Male, black, 20-25 years old, with a goatee and black Afro. He was last seen wearing a camouflage tank top and gray jeans.

Suspect #2: Male, black, 18-20 years old, with black hair. He was last seen wearing a "True Religion" t-shirt with an American flag logo, and gray jeans.

Two suspects in the beating and robbing of a 60-year-old man in Brighton Beach remained at large as of this posting.
